Film making is a complex craft, a coming together of minds and idea and creative abilities. It's a cohesive collaboration and takes time to construct. As anyone who has worked in films will tell you, there's a lot of hanging about on the set whist the shots are set. Some films take literally years to get off the page but with today's technological advances and with computer technology, the pace has heated up somewhat. However until they can replace actors - animation is fine but it will never replce real people - then the process has its limitations.
